Woah!! How did you get that roof…

Hi Mark, I built it from scratch with MDF boards, fiber optic cables, a light source that animates the stars to look realistic and black fabric. Each star is a separate run back to the light source so it’s a LONG process (took me 3 months from start to finish in my spare time LOL). There’s over 3 kilometers of fiber optic cable in that ceiling! No regrets! I use it every time I’m in the theater. It’s also an accurate star field so it has constellations (which blink convincingly) and static Milky Way stars that are dimmer in the background. I also added some shooting stars that shoot across the ceiling from time to time. The stars are also on a separate switch so that the stars can be dimmed without affecting the motor that runs the animation for the stars.

my game room/theater is about the size of an average bedroom with only a few seats, we put up some foam sound reducing pads to get a nice experience in our cozy little watching room

In this moment I would like to have a Home theater, I don´t have money to make this happen in my house.

Thanks for the share.

Thanks for sharing this tour.

Hi D-Box Community,
here is my home cinema. I started to build it with my own hands some years ago in my son’s room exactly the day he moved out. The front row contains two Movia seats on one D-Box platform. For viewers who are afraid of seasickness are two seats in the back equiped with body-shakers only. My screenratio can be customized by a motorized masking. The curtain is motorized too. I use a 7.4.1 Dolby Atmos sound setup and a 4K Laser Beamer with an anamorphic prism in front. As the name of my son is Anton and it is his former room, I named my cinema “Antonius LIchtspiele”. Hope you like it like I do.IMG_5039 IMG_5042 IMG_5043 IMG_5045 IMG_5046IMG_5039

That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. How did you son took it when you decide to transform his old (not so old  ) room?

He’s fine with it and visits me with or without his girlfriend regularly and we enjoy a movie-ride together.

He’s out of luck if ever he wants to move back in! Thanks for sharing! I love seeing other members’ home theaters!
